Truphone – Free calls & messages, local or international App Reviews

When Truphone attempts to call +55 11 3711 5773 for the Truphone Anywhere Call, the call just doesn´t go through. It is immediately disconnected! What is the use of Truphone, if a can´t use it to make a call via the cellular network. For WiFi calls I can always use Skipe directly! I hope this is corrected very shortly, as I used to enjoy using Truphone in its prior version.

Tru Friends dont work! Version with OS 2.0 was very good but in this version 3.0 are not good it crashed! Please a new update without bugs . Thanks

If you need to call internationally from your iPhone, this is the app for you. Working over either a Wifi connection or by passing the call off to a local number and routing it from there via voice over ip, the Truphone app delivers good voice quality, good prices and good reliability. Being in a long distance relationship, Ive used this app an awful lot and it has saved me loads!

Crashes within seconds of loading. Ive bought time that I cannot use.

It would be perfect with push notifications, and no lags...

this app adds a self-promoting tag to your skype name "[skype name] www.truphone.om - taking skype mobile". you can remove it, but it just comes back. I havent bought time from them - its REALLY expensive - use a phone card or buy time from skype.

Ive had Truphone for 8 months and never had it crash. Its installed on my iPhone. However, my son installed it on his iPod and has problems with it. I use it all the time when I travel and its been working fine with the wifi available at the hotels. Great savings with no roaming.

... But unless you have access to wireless, any call you make on cellular data network will cost you long distance to Toronto, plus the Truphone fee. If you restrict yourself to wireless use only, its just the $0.05/min Truphone cost.

Read the terms on this one. They can check the credit bureau on you. Huh? Worse, they can sell you on any list they want. Also, you agreed to the terms if you just downloaded the app. You have been warned.

App keeps booting me off as soon as I touch the screen

I use when I go to Europe, with my boingo wifi account. Find wifi, make a cheap call with no roaming. Call quality is great, this will of course vary with the qualty of the wifi connection. I dont know why some other people have problems.

Seems ever since 3.0 the app crashes right after launch. Hey truphone you took my fifty dollars prepayment for version two which works now I am left out the money and stuck with a useless app. I am making sure no one falls prey to your horrific customer support.

Saw it uses skype and doesnt need wifi to work but after installing it says it needs an account created even before you use the app. Very slow going thru the pages but input was fast. Not free there is rates that apply when you use it is stupid for a app that claims free calls

It takes your money and becomes a pain. It crashes, drops calls, sound is poor. Is that enough to convince you not send them any money.

Good thing this APP is free. Dont worth the try because it crashes a lot.

This app has been broken or me ever since 3.0. Crashes as soon as I try to do anything.
