Truphone – Free calls & messages, local or international App Reviews

This program managed somehow to install itself on my phone without my explicite consent. Who does need any more account to be set up? Who does urge to give his/her iPhone number to how-d-you-call-em? And who is so pressed to submit his/her e-mail address for one more registration in the Ministry of Love?

Iv used this for five years and from many countries. Works perfectly and support is even better.

Truphone does not let me create an account. When I add my number and click submit the app shows a "server error" message. This problem has persisted for over a month--Truphone support repeatedly promised to fix this issue, but unfortunately has not made any progress so far.

They sent out an email saying they will no longer offer this particular service. If youve got over £5 in your account, you can get a refund, otherwise, no dice. Ive had these guys for years. I did request a refund but honestly would rather keep the app!

This app was very nice to have as a second line and also for accessing my other number. It could be used overseas and just needs internet connection.

Downloaded on my iPhone 5 (and Blackberry Z10). Worked flawlessly. In fact, the dialer is far better than the native iPhone and Z10 dialer. I use it on international conference calls daily and it sounds great. An elegant and pleasant to use app...

As a Spaniard living in the US and constantly traveling for business, I do need an app to call abroad. No complaints about Truphone at all, it works smoothly and the rates are great, I totally recommend this app.

I have been through whats out there as far as solutions to international call problems, and I find Truphone to be one of the smartest! Great call quality! Lovely rates! Clever features! And I can use it on my mobile phone-- i dont have to lug my computer around and wait for the person Im calling to get on skype! Hooray! its like they had me in mind. :)

This app is great and convenient. I can speak to anyone from anywhere in the country. Best app to travel with, this company also has actual cell phone service.. Absolutely love Truphone!!!

I have used truphone for years - it is amazing and so cheap to call home! Love it!

Been using this app for a while now, after the upgrade the app is in the best shape, make sure your phone is not jailbroken and it will work great. Love the 0 connection fee but dont understand why the cost to countrys like UAE is more expansive than lets say Syria .. Please Truphone look in to it . Other than that I am very happy and thank you for a great app .

everytime after finish the call cant hang off the phone in this app，only need to use multiple task to kill the app，big bug！ nice service but bad app！

I use TruPhone over the other services for way cheap calling. I just got off a 77-minute call from USA to a New Zealand landline and the bill came to only $1.56. If it fits the country you need to call, it is soooo cheap. The call quality was stellar, sounding better than a local call here in town.

This app doesnt set the pin code to your other phone

I downloaded this app hoping to use it when Im in St Lucia next month but I havent even been able to create an account. The registration requires entering a pin you receive by text but I never received one (even after requesting it be resent multiple times). The app suggests "requesting a call back if you dont receive a text" but then doesnt give you the option to request a call back! So frustrating! I checked the website and it doesnt allow you to create an account so Ill be uninstalling it. Not worth all this time to get nowhere.

Ive been using TruPhone for several years, first on my Nokia E71 and now on my iPod Touch. Ive never seen anything like it. Now that its become so cheap to call cell phones outside the US, I use call forwarding to forward to my local number so friends and clients can call either my home cell number or my TruPhone VoIP number and reach me immediately instead of having to leave a voice message that Id get as an email. I have absolutely no complaints and the few times I had concerns or questions they were answered promptly and courteously. I recommend this product very highly.

Ok it sometimes cuts me off in the middle of a conversation but I used to paid $5 a minute a couple decades ago to call my folk and now its $.01 - how can you complain about that. All I can say is Thanks for the services
